Debate

I had my students do a debate with regards to the text, which was really successful. Half the students prepared arguments for why Michal was the embodiment of the Pillowman, the other half argued that Katurian was more like the Pillowman. I found that they really engaged with one another, and it was a great way to illustrate how infinite equally valid interpretations of a text can coexist. [Sandra Allen, sandra-allen@uiowa.edu]
