Instructors’ Teaching Experience

I love teaching this poem.  It’s fun and funny and very smart.  Plus, it's about the way that people interact with texts, and it can provide a useful jumping-off point for considering the uses and abuses of critical distance that we often try to foster in our literature students.  Finally, the poem itself references a number of well-known literary texts and can be a nice companion piece to any of them, as well.
